  • Sika® Fiber HP

    Monofilament Polypropylene Concrete Micro Fiber

     

    Use

    Fibrillated fibers utilize the mixing force to brake the fibers apart. Sika Fiber HP creates, due its ultra thin diameter and ultra high strength, an extremely dense three dimensional network of reinforcing fibers in the concrete. Sika Fiber HP acts mechanically by reinforcing the concrete with fiber network coated with mortar. Sika Fiber HP does not affect curing process chemically and Sika Fiber HP does not absorb water.
    The Sika Fiber HP can be used in all types of concrete such as residential or commercial labs on ground (SOG), concrete overlays, precast applications, shotcrete or stucco. Synthetic fibers help the concrete at early ages, which is especially beneficial to precasters where stripping time and handling is important.
    The Sika Fiber HP can decrease plastic and drying shrinkage cracking and increase impact resistance in young concrete.
    The Sika Fiber HP when used in shotcrete applications will increase the compaction and density of shotcrete, reducing rebound and permitting thicker layers per pass.

    Use

    Due to its mechanical properties Sika Fiber MS is recommended for use in following applications:

    • Industrial and Warehouse Floors
    • Residential and commercial Slab on grade
    • White toppings and overlays
    • Replacement for welded wire fabric (WWF)

    Fibrillated fibres are dispersed into the concrete mix via the mixing activity. Sika Fiber PPF acts mechanically by reinforcing the concrete with a multi-dimensional fibre network. Sika Fiber PPF does not affect the curing process chemically and does not absorb water.
    Sika Fiber PPF can be used in all types of concrete. Synthetic fibres help the concrete during the early stages, which is especially beneficial to precasters where stripping-time and handling is important.
