The primary role of the plant Reliability Engineer is to provide leadership and direction to the maintenance function in the plant. He/She is responsible to the Engineering & maintenance manager for the effective and efficient use of all manpower, materials, parts and other resources of the Maintenance functions in the plant as well as providing capacity, asset reliability and best life cycle cost to the operation. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the systems, structure, training programs and processes necessary to drive achieve and sustain the Reliability functions. Through his or her efforts, a proactive culture that values reliability and effective life cycle asset management is achieved.           

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Leverages the organization's business goals into appropriate Reliability and Life Cycle Cost goals that support and contribute to the plant´s business results with a priority on major Maintenance activities in the plant.
  • Accountable to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager for the right stock of spare parts in the plant to guarantee a proper preventive program and quick response in case of failures.
  • Accountable to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager for the continuous optimization of the maintenance expense of the plant.
  • Implements a measurement and performance evaluation system in support of two primary objectives, optimal resource management and optimal equipment reliability.
  • Sustains through time a high level of knowledge and expertise on the Maintenance Functions at the plant.
  • Reaches mutually beneficial agreement with the Plant on required capacity specifications, in terms of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Mechanical/electrical background necessary and tech school background
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in reliability engineering related processes.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional desired
  • Must understand Lean, Six Sigma and TPM. Lean-Six Sigma Black belt certification desired
  • Must fully domain the RCM process, Asset Management & condition monitoring principles, tools and application
  • Expertise in all areas of maintenance and reliability, material management, planning and scheduling, and/or CMMS / EAM / ERP optimization is desired
  • Proficient on Popular CMMS solutions like Maximo 7.6, SAP Maintenance & Prisma and MVP Plant.
