Anchoring & Injection Resins

Chemical anchors are ideally suited for high load applications, as the resulting load is almost always stronger than the base substrate material itself. Since the system is based on chemical and mechanical compounds, no pre-loading stress is imparted to the substrate as it is with expansive mechanical anchors. Therefore chemical anchors are ideal for fixing close to edges and for close group anchoring.

Epoxy resins have relatively high tensile and compressive strengths in relation to concrete, they are generally regarded as ‘rigid’ materials and widely used for structural repairs by injections of cracks and voids in load bearing reinforced concrete structures or elements.

Sikadur®-31 SBA is a range of thixotropic, structural two part adhesive especially formulated for segmental bridge construction; available in different grades to suit different applications and environmental conditions.
