SikaSet® HE
SikaSet® HE is a new generation, synthetically manufactured, accelerating, water reducing admixture for concrete. SikaSet® HE is designed to accelerate the setting time of concrete and particularly that of fly ash concrete, while providing higher early and ultimate strengths.

Usage
SikaSet® HE is designed for concrete where accelerated-setting characteristics are desired. SikaSet® HE is especially effective in concretes containing such pozzolanic materials as fly ash, silica fume and slag. SikaSet® HE is not recommended for prestressed concretes or other applications where the use of chlorides would be forbidden.Note: SikaSet® HE will not protect concrete against the effects of frost.

APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES
SikaSet® HE meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C494, Types C and E and CSA A23.1-00.
Shelf Life
1 year when stored in dry warehouse conditions at temperatures between -35 °C and +27 °C (-30 °F and 80 °F).
Storage Conditions
Store at above -35 °C (-30 °F). If frozen, thaw and agitate thoroughly to return to normal state. Protect from direct sunlight.

Application

Mixing
For best results, it is recommanded to dispense SikaSet® HE into the batched water. SikaSet® HE is compatible with other Sika admixtures. However, each admixture should be added separately to the mix.
Clean Up
Use personal protective equipment (chemical resistant goggles/gloves/clothing). Without direct contact, remove spilled or excess product and place in suitable sealed container. Dispose of excess product and container in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
Recommended Dosage
The recommended dosage range for SikaSet® HE is 455-4560 mL/100 kg of cementitious material. A normal equivalent for a 1 % calcium chloride addition would be a dosage of 2280 mL/100 kg of cement, and the 2% dosage would represent 4560 mL/100 kg. It is suggested that trial batches be conducted in order to determine the required dosage for optimum performance with your concrete components.
