Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N
WATER REDUCING ADMIXTURE FOR CONCRETE
Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N is a new generation, synthetically manufactured, water reducing normal set admixture for concrete. Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N provides a more plastic and flowable concrete, greater uniformity, increased durability, and reduced shrinkage and permeability in concrete.

- Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C494, Types A, B, D and CSA A23.1-00.
Shelf Life
1 year when stored in dry warehouse conditions at temperatures between 5 °C and 27 °C (40 °F and 80 °F).
Storage Conditions
Store at temperatures above 5 °C (40 °F). If frozen, thaw and agitate thoroughly to return to normal state. Protect from direct sunlight.

Application
Mixing
For best plasticizing results, Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N should be added directly to freshly mixed concrete in the concrete mixer at the end of the batching cycle. It may also be dispensed as an integral material during the regular admixture batching cycle or into freshly mixed concrete in a ready-mix truck at the concrete plant or job site. To optimize the superplasticizing effect, Sika recommends that the combined materials be mixed for 80-100 revolutions, either in the concrete mixer or in the ready-mix truck.
Combination with other admixtures: Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N is highly effective as a single admixture or in combination with other admixtures. When used in combination with other admixtures, dispense each admixture separately into the concrete. Do not mix with dry cement. Contact your local Sika Canada Representative.
Combination with pozzolanic materials: Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N can be successfully used in mix designs utilizing pozzolanic materials such as fly ash and GGBFS
Recommended Dosage
The recommended dosage range is 100-325 mL/100 kg ( 1.5-5.0 fl. oz/100 lb) of cementitious material. When used at a dosage rate of 230-325 mL/100 kg (3.5-5.0 fl. oz/100 lb) of cementitious material, Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N performs as a set-retarding admixture for concrete. Trial batches should conducted in order to establish the correct dosage of Sika® Plastocrete®-10 N in order to attain the required slump.
