Sikalastic® TC 225 HT is a moisture-curing polyurethane top coat for use in Sikalastic® Traffic 1500 deck coating systems.
The Sikalastic® TC 225 HT is a one-component waterproofing coating and is UV-resistant. The Sikalastic® TC 225 HT Tint Base product allows for a variety of colors in pedestrian applications.

Sikalastic® TC 225 HT is an aliphatic, moisture-curing polyurethane available in grey, charcoal, tan, dark tan, and tint base.

Application
Product Temperature
Precondition material to a temperature of approximately 21 °C (70 °F).
Ambient Air Temperature
between +4 °C and +32 °C (40 °F / 90 °F).
Dew Point
Substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C (5.5 °F) above measured dew point temperature.
Substrate Temperature

Curing Time
Sikalastic® TC 225 HT cures in 12−14 hours when tested at 23 °C (73 °F) and 50% relative humidity.
Yield
at 20 mils w.f.t: 1.83–1.97 m2/L (75–80 ft2/US gal.)
at 25 mils w.f.t: 1.35–1.47 m2/L (55–60 ft2/US gal.)
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
MIXING
Sikalastic® TC 225 HT PRE-PIGMENTED
- Mix Sikalastic® TC 225 HT to ensure uniform colour and consistency, 3 minutes at low-speed (300 to 450 rpm), using a drill fitted with an Exomixer® or Jiffy type paddle suited to the volume of the mixing container. Keep the mixing paddle immersed constantly in the material to avoid introducing or entrapping air while mixing.
Sikalastic® TC 225 HT TINT BASE
- Transfer entire contents of two (2) pigment cans into Sikalastic® TC 225 HT Tint Base mixed kit. Use a spatula or knife to remove all the pigment from the container. The Sikalastic® TC 225 HT Tint Base Top Coat requires two (2) Sikaflex®-900 color packs per 5-US-gal. pail.
Note: If using short-filled (2.5-US-gal.) pails of Sikalastic® TC 225 HT Tint Base, only one (1) Sikaflex®-900 color pack is required. - Scrape down sides and bottom of mixing vessel, then mix again for 2-3 minutes. Keep the mixing paddle submerged during mixing to avoid adding air into the mixture.
- To ensure consistent color throughout the pail, pour contents into separate container and continue mixing until all Tint Base has dispersed.
- When using multiple units, all units must be boxed to ensure color consistency.
APPLICATION
- Apply 20 - 25 wet mils (0.51 - 0.64 mm) Sikalastic® TC 225 HT using a proper notched squeegee.
- Immediately backroll to level MasterSeal TC 225 material.
- While the coating is still wet, broadcast 16–30 mesh, rounded silica sand (consumption depends on the type of traffic).
CURING TREATMENT
Allow curing time of 72 hours before vehicular use. Extend the curing time in cool-weather conditions.
