SikaInject®-304 SL

Retarder for SikaInject®-304 DE

SikaInject®-304 SL ("slow") is a retarder added as an additional part to the three-component acrylate resin SikaInject®-304 DE.

SikaInject®-304 SL provides the following characteristics and benefits:
  • Increases the pot life of SikaInject®-304 DE, which is useful when extended penetration is needed, such as in sandy ground or in consolidation applications

Storage Conditions

SikaInject®-304 SL must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between 15 °C and 25 °C. Always refer to the packaging. Protect SikaInject®-304 SL from direct sunlight. Refer to the current Safety Data Sheet for information on safe handling
and storage.

The quantities of SikaInject®-304 DE Part A (Part A1: 20 kg; Part A2: 0.5 kg) and SikaInject®-304 SL (1 kg) remain unchanged.
Application steps

MIXING

SikaInject®-304 SL is mixed with Part B of SikaInject®-304 DE. Refer to the table in Reaction Time to calculate the required quantity of Part B.

  1. Select a clean, 20 L container of identical size to the SikaInject®-304 DE Part A container. Note: the volume of each mixed component is identical.
  2. Empty SikaInject®-304 SL into the container. 
  3. Add the required quantity of Part B of SikaInject® 304 DE.
  4. Add the water. Assess the amount of liquid in the Part A container when measuring the amount of water required for dissolving SikaInject®-304 SL and Part B. The quantity of the mixture must be equal to the quantity of component A (part A1: 20 kg + part A2: 0.5 kg).
  5. Mix thoroughly with a drill mixer for at least three (3) minutes.
