Sika® Injection-101 US

Expanding polyurethane injection foam for sealing water infiltration

Sika® Injection-101 US is a two-component, low-viscosity, water-reactive polyurethane injection resin characterized by rapid foam formation. It cures to a dense, flexible foam.

Sika® Injection-101 US provides the following characteristics and benefits:
  • Foams only upon direct contact with water
  • Can be injected as a single-component system
  • Free foaming expansion up to 40 times its original volume
  • Reaction rate (foam formation) influenced by material temperature, structure type, water exposure, and hydrodynamic conditions

Usage

Sika® Injection-101 US is suitable for the following applications, but is not limited to:
  • Waterstopping of high water intrusions in cracks, joints and cavities in concrete and masonry.
  • Waterstopping in special applications such as bored or sheet pile walls, anchor heads and microtunneling.

Storage Conditions

Store in original, unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between 5 °C and 35 °C (40 °F and 95 °F). Always refer to the packaging.

Note: If skin forms on the surface of the product, remove it. Do not mix.
Application steps

MIXING

Add Parts A and B into an appropriate container and mix slowly for 30 seconds until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, while observing safety precautions. The product is supplied in packaging with the indicated mixing ratio of 1:1 by volume. Partial quantities can be measured and placed in separate containers. Once mixed, pour the material into the pump’s feed hopper, stir briefly, and use within the pot life.

CLEAN UP

Use SikaInject® Cleaner C1, or any other solvent recommended by the injection pump manufacturer, to clean the pump and tools before the resin has cured. Once cured, the resin can only be removed mechanically.
