SikaInject®-501 DE

(former TPH.® FOAM SEAL PLUS)

Fast-reacting urea-silicate injection foam

SikaInject®-501 DE is a 2-component, injection foam based on urea-silicate technology. It is fast-reacting, slightly flexible and treated with a flame retardant.

SikaInject®-501 DE provides the following characteristics and benefits:
  • Large expansion; foaming factor ~30x
  • Foams with or without water contact
  • Fast curing
  • Low reaction temperature (max. 95 °C (203 °F); suitable for applications such as coal mining)
  • CFC and halogen-free
  • Foam is cuttable and planeable

Usage

SikaInject®-501 DE can be used in applications such as:
  • Filling of cavities in tunneling, mining and civil engineering structures
  • Solidification of rock as well as for stopping of inrushing water
  • Pre-injection, stabilization
  • Rapid filling of voids and cavities
  • TBM heading injection

Application steps

MIXING

Part A and part B are pumped directly from the original packaging in the ratio of 1:1 parts by volume. Use a 2-component injection pump and mix homogeneously in a static mixer.
