Usage

Sika® Tooling Agent N is designed for smoothening freshly applied Sika elastic sealants and adhesives. In tested cases, Sika® Tooling Agent N did not affect paint finishes and further commonly used surfaces. However, in critical cases it is recommend to check compatibility by tests, especially with fresh and/or water-based paints. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed ensuring material compatibility.

Technical Information

IMPORTANT NOTE

Sika® Tooling Agent N contains a small amount of water soluble polymers which remain on the surface. If the smoothed product needs to be overpainted, remove the above mentioned polymers by rinsing the surface with clean water.

 

Application

Application Information

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Sika® Tooling Agent N may be sprayed directly on the surface and tooled with a smoothing tool. Another type of application is to smooth the surface with a tool previously immersed in Sika® Tooling Agent N. The viscosity of Sika® Tooling Agent N can be adjusted by adding clean water to the product.

Tightly re-seal container immediately after each use.

Storage condition

Unopened containers may be stored between 5 °C and 25 °C.

Opened containers must be used within a few weeks. Degradation of the product will result in growth of micro-organisms and a subsequent unpleasant odor. In such cases, the product is to be disposed of.
