SAKRETE Asphalt Repair is a pre-blended, ready-to-use, cold patch, pot hole repair mixture made of blended asphalts, aggregates and selective additives specifically designed for repairing black-top surfaces. The asphalt is designed to be poured from the bag into the hole and compacted.

Usage

Ideal for repairing black-top surfaces 2.5 cm (1”) to 10 cm (4”) thick, up to an area of 0.4 m² (4 ft²). Repair asphalt drives, walks and parking areas that have sunk, wide cracks, pot holes or areas damaged from gas and oil. Not recommended for use on curbs, speed bumps and ramps, or for new driveway extensions.

How to apply the SAKRETE Asphalt Repair?

Pour SAKRETE Asphalt Repair into hole and level about 1.3 cm (1/2 in) higher than surrounding pavement. Thoroughly compact using a hand tamper. Deep holes should be compacted in layers 5 cm (2 in) thick or less. Final repair should not exceed 10 cm (4 in) in depth. NOTE: The greater the compaction, the better the patch.

What is the yield of the Sakrete Asphalt Repair?

30 KG (66 lb) yields approximately 0.2 m² (2 ft²) at 7.6 cm (3 in) thick. Coverage indicated varies with the irregularity of the surface and the level of compaction.

How to prepare the surface before applying SAKRETE Asphalt Repair?

Chisel out and remove all existing, damaged asphalt, to a depth of 5 cm (2 in) to 10 cm (4 in). Square up the area to be repaired, ensuring that all the sides are vertical. Avoid a bird bath-shaped edge. Using a stiff broom or brush, remove all loose particles, mud, dust, grass, etc. Remove any unsound portions of the base. Fill deeper holes with gravel to proper depth.

How long does it take before applying a driveway sealer?

Allow 60-90 days curing time before applying a driveway sealer and follow driveway sealer manufacturer directions.

Is it possible to use Sakrete Asphalt Repair for curbs?
