APPLICATION
Sweep Into Joints and Compact – Spread Sika FastFix®-110 evenly over the joints between the pavers and use a hard-bristle brush to sweep the product flush with the paver surface. Compact the Sika FastFix®-110 by running a plate compactor over the pavers in several different directions. Repeat this triple-step action (spreading the sand, sweeping into joints, compacting) at least twice. If a vibrating-plate compactor cannot be used, use a roller compactor or tamp the pavers with a rubber mallet to ensure that the Sika FastFix®-110 is densely packed into the joints. Ensure that the finished level of the Sika FastFix®-110 is at least 3 mm (1/8 inch) lower than the chamfer of the pavers. A leaf blower can be used to level the height of Sika FastFix®-110 in the joint and remove any excess material on the paver surface as needed.
Shower the Sika FastFix®-110 – Use a garden hose or other system capable of generating a medium fine shower. Begin from the bottom of a slope and finish at the top. Do not interrupt or stop the wetting procedure. At a height of 1 m (3.2 ft), wet a specific paver area for 1 minute or until the sand can no longer absorb water. Wet no more than 5 m2 (52.8 ft2) at a time when joints are larger than 13 mm (1/2 in).Use a garden hose or other system capable of generating a medium fine shower. Blow-Off Remaining Water on Surface – Use a leaf blower to remove any excess surface water lying on paver pores and crevices. This blowing action is necessary to help remove any remaining Sika FastFix®-110 residue left on paver surfaces from previous steps.
NOTE – The water used to shower the Sika FastFix®-110 will activate a bonding action and also condense the sand in the joints. If the two previous steps are not completed properly, a white haze may appear on the surface of the pavers after installation. This is due to excess Sika FastFix®-110 or residue left on pavers. The haze will dissipate over time, but it can also be removed using an appropriate concrete cleaner. Avoid using a pressure washer as it may remove the hardened Sika FastFix®-110 in the paver joints.
CURING TREATMENT
Allow the surface to dry for 24 hours before opening to foot traffic, and 72 hours before opening to vehicular traffic. Longer drying times may be required when temperatures are below 21 °C (70 °F) for the first 24-72 hours after installation of Sika FastFix®-110. Protect joints from rain for a minimum of 24 hours. Ensure that any sprinkler systems that are in close proximity to the newly applied Sika FastFix®-110 remain off for a minimum of 72 hours after installation.
CLEAN UP
Clean any tools or equipment after use with water. Be sure to follow application steps properly. Remove excess Sika FastFix®-110 with a leaf blower prior to showering and excess water after showering to reduce the risk of hazing.

It is recommended to apply Sika FastFix®-110 in a small area of approximately 0.6 m x 0.6 m (2 ft x 2 ft), to ensure the product meets the performance and aesthetic requirements of the project.
Once the paver surface has been installed, it must be compacted using a plate compactor for interlocking pavers, bricks or slabs and a roller compactor for natural stone. In the case that the slabs are too large or sensitive (porcelain) for a plate compactor, manual compaction must be achieved using a rubber mallet. Ensure that the joints are free of any excess bedding mix, laitance, or debris.
Use an appropriate bedding mix for final levelling of the application surface and provide an appropriate drainage base in accordance with the recommendations of ICPI Tech Spec #2. Install the interlocking pavers, stone, bricks, or slabs. Also, the ambient temperature must be above +5 °C (40 °F) for a minimum of 48 hours after installation.
Do not use in conjunction with pavers or stone installed directly over a concrete slab. A drainage base is required between the concrete slab and pavers to ensure that the joints do not remain saturated. See ICPI Tech Spec #2 for further information.
Do not use in areas that are submerged or constantly wet. Joints can soften when saturated with water but will harden again after drying.
The entire paver joint must be filled with Sika FastFix®- 110, do not partially fill joints with any another material.
Ensure that the pavers and joints are as dry as possible, as moisture can cause the Sika FastFix®-110 to prematurely gel prior to installation. It is recommended to plan for 24 hours without rain in order to achieve the best results. For joints wider than 13 mm (1/2 in), it is recommended to plan for 48 hours without rain.
The Sika FastFix-110® can be applied at a range in joint thickness from 3 to 100 mm (1/8 to 4 in).
It can be applied for residential and commercial projects including pedestrian walkways, patios, driveways, around pools, parking areas and light traffic roadways.
Minimum ambient and surface temperatures at the time of application are +5 °C (40 °F), while maximum temperature is +35 °C (95 °F)
