SELF-ADHESIVE, BUTYL-RUBBER BASED TAPE for external jointing of Sikaproof® A waterproofing membrane systems

SikaProof® ExTape-150 is a self-adhesive tape, consisting of a film with a butyl-rubber adhesive, which is itself covered with a protective release liner. The joints of SikaProof® A membranes are fully-bonded and sealed using SikaProof® adhesive tapes.

Usage

  • Used to bond and seal external joints or overlaps of the SikaProof® A sheet membrane system
  • Used to bond and seal details or connections where present within the SikaProof® A system

Shelf Life

1 year if stored properly in unopened, undamaged original packaging.

Storage Conditions

Store and transport in a horizontal position, under dry conditions and at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C (41 and 86 °F). The rolls must be
protected from direct sunlight, rain, snow and ice, etc. Do not stack pallets of the rolls on top of each other, or under pallets of any other materials during transport or storage as this may cause damage.

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The contact surface (the light yellow membrane surface of the SikaProof® A membrane) must be dry, clean and free of any materials that could impair adhesion. All contaminants, debris and loose friable material must be removed to ensure a stable substrate exists.
