UltraCure NCF

Single-use wet curing blanket

UltraCure NCF (Natural Cellulose Fabric) is a single-use, wet curing blanket designed to provide constant and thorough hydration while maintaining a 100 % relative humidity condition on the slab for a curing period of 7 days resulting in less surface discoloration and a more evenly cured concrete slab.

  • Rolls come with fabric side out, making it easy to install
  • Taping the seams is not required
  • Absorbs and distributes water evenly over the entire slab surface
  • Features an opaque reflective polyethylene backing which provides visual confirmation that the slab remains wet for the entire curing period
  • Reduction of material, labour, re-wetting time, storage, and transportation costs that are involved when using traditional wet cure methods
  • Increases concrete strength and durability
  • Reduces permeability of concrete, cracking, crazing, dusting, and efflorescence
  • Improves abrasion resistance
  • Helps prevent plastic shrinkage cracking
  • Meets or exceeds ASTM C171-03, ASTM C171-97a, and AASHTO M171-00

Usage

UltraCure NCF may be used on concrete slabs-on-ground and decorative concrete requiring a 7-day cure.  
Typical structures include:

Packaging

UltraCure NCF rolls are shrink-wrapped in a clear poly covering and stacked five (5) wide by eight (8) high on a 1.11 m x 2.43 m (44 in x 96 in) wooden pallet. 480 rolls/12 pallets per truckload.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Cure Mechanism: UltraCure NCF is made up of super absorbent fibres that effectively trap water and serve as a hydrating reservoir for the slab as it cures.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Remove any debris and loose material from the concrete surface to be cured.
