Application

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Welding area of the Sarnafil roof membrane to receive the Decor Profile shall be clean and dry.

APPLICATION

  1. Using a chalk line and removable chalk, mark out a line for laying the Decor Profile.
  2. Pre-assemble the Decor Profile sections, to create the required length, by inserting a provided connector into one end of a profile section then with the exposed portion of the connector into a second profile section butting the two sections together.
  3. Using a hand welder, hot-air weld the ends of adjoining Decor Profiles together.
  4. Align the Decor Profiles along the chalk line. Decor Profiles should generally line up with edge of Sarnafil roof membrane overlap. Do not cover overlap.
  5. If using the Sarnamatic® or Leister Uniroof automatic welding machine with the Decor Rib Profile kit, position machine to start the weld. Regularly check the Decor Profile guide. If hand welding, a 2 x 8'' (50 x 203 mm) nailer may be needed to keep Decor Profiles straight.
  6. Hand weld the Decor Profiles in areas where the automatic welding machine cannot be used. If required, heat weld a piece of Sarnafil roof membrane over the exposed end and trim to give a clean finish.
