Environmental Product Declarations or EPD’s for short are a third party verified and registered document that communicates the environmental impact of a product.  Creating an EPD is voluntary and there are a few different versions depending on how much of the products life-cycle the manufacturer wants to disclose such as “Cradle to Gate” or “Cradle to Grave”, the later disclosing the full circle of a products life.
