Sikafloor® Extender T
Sikafloor® Extender T is an inert, fine, white, fibrous polymer powder used as a thickening agent for Sikafloor® epoxy systems.

Usage
- In combination with: Sikafloor®-156CA, Sikafloor®-261CA, Sikagard®-381, Sikafloor® Fastflor® CR, Sikagard®-62CA and other Sika® epoxy systems.
- For applications on horizontal surfaces to create custom orange peel textures.
- For applications on vertical surface to hold the resin in place during cure.
- To create a thin set, fine texture, crack filler and patching gel.

Addition Rate Guidelines
The precise addition rate of Sikafloor® Extender T for a given installation can only be calculated on site. The suitability of a Sika® resin for a given application is dependant on the interaction of many different factors, some of which are not consistent. Example: slope of substrate - substrate roughness - material, substrate and ambient air temperature - layer thickness - viscosity of the mixed resins - quantity and size of broadcast sand - setting properties of the resin. In practise, the applicator must make a trial mix that achieves the viscosity he requires by feel. He can then make minor adjustments to improve workability in subsequent mixes or as site conditions change.
The following Sikafloor® Extender T addition rate chart by product and application is a guideline only. All recommendations are based on testing completed in a controlled environment of 20 °C (68 °F). In general, colder application temperatures require a lower addition rate and warmer conditions require more to achieve the same workability.
Recommendations are provided based on the number of Sika® measuring cups required. Fill Sika® cup, lightly tap to settle powder, then refill and strike off flush. Using this fill method, the Sika® measuring cup will weigh-out approx. 18 g (0.63 oz) of Sikafloor® Extender T.

Lesser amounts yield a more liquid consistency, whereas greater amounts yield thicker pastes.
IMPORTANT: Care must be taken on high addition rates to not dry the mixture to the point were it will not fully wet out the substrate or adhesion characteristics will be compromised. Orange Peel Textures and Crack Filler Gel addition rates must be primed with neat resin. For more information contact your local Sika Technical Sales Representative.
MIXING
Do not hand mix Sikafloor® Extender T, mechanically mix only.
Mix Sika® resin components A + B following individual mixing instructions published on the Product Data Sheet or label. Add Sikafloor® Extender T (powder) pouring slowly over a period of 15 seconds to avoid lumps in the final mixture. Mechanically blend for two (2) more minutes, during the operations, scrape down the sides and bottom of the container with a flat or straight edge trowel at least once (components A+B+Sikafloor® Extender T) to ensure complete mixing.
