Sika Canada is accelerating the pace of environmental characterisation, particularly in the area of low-emission materials, by obtaining Intertek's Clean Air Gold certification for more than 50 of its products.
Clean Air Gold Certification for Sika Products
Sika Canada is accelerating the pace of environmental characterisation, particularly in the area of low-emission materials, by obtaining Intertek's Clean Air Gold certification for more than 50 of its products. As a third-party certification process, Intertek's Clean Air certification independently demonstrates that products are low-emission and contribute to healthier indoor environments. Sika adhesives, floor coverings, wall coverings and cementitious building materials have been independently tested and found to comply with established VOC testing standards.
Continued monitoring and annual testing will ensure VOC claims of certified products are accurate and supported by test data. This is demonstrated by inclusion of the Clean Air Certification program as an approved certification for low-emitting materials in LEED and WELL Certified buildings. Clean Air certified products support earning points under the Low-Emitting Materials Credit and Indoor Air Quality Assessment Credit and in three different WELL Features: Air Quality, Enhanced Air Quality, and VOC Restrictions.
