SIKA AG has been awarded a silver medal and has successfully achieved the score of 68/100 in the Ecovadis sustainability assessment. This score places Sika in the 89th percentile in the “Manufacture of other chemical products n.e.c. industry.
Sika has been awarded a silver medal as a recognition of its EcoVadis Sustainability Rating.
EcoVadis assessments focus on 21 issues which are grouped into 4 themes (Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement). The 21 issues or criteria are based upon international sustainability standards such as the Global Compact Principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard, and the CERES principles.
EcoVadis in brief: EcoVadis is a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment service, via a global SaaS platform. The EcoVadis rating covers a broad spectrum of non-financial management systems, including impacts in the following areas: Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing. Each company is assessed on key issues according to its size, location, and sector. Evidence-based assessments are refined in clear scorecards, with scores between zero and one hundred (0-100), and medals (bronze, silver, gold) where appropriate. In addition, the scorecards contain guidance on strengths and areas for improvement that assessed companies can follow to focus their sustainability efforts and develop corrective action plans to improve their CSR performance.
